
Julie M. Howard
Julie M. Howard is an Associate Attorney in DRG's Litigation Group. She is admitted in North Carolina and Ohio, and her application for admission in Maine is pending. She works directly with Litigation Chair Daetan B. Huck on business, real estate and other civil disputes.
Julie joined DRG from the Mecklenburg County Public Defender in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she served as lead counsel in more than twenty district and superior court trials while managing a high volume caseload. Her background also includes civil litigation experience supporting trial strategy and research in complex medical malpractice matters, and service as a head law clerk in the Franklin County Public Defender's Office in Ohio.
That courtroom foundation anchors her commercial and civil practice at DRG. Julie's work includes legal research, pleadings and motion practice, discovery, mediation preparation and case development across the Litigation Group's matters.

Julie currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, ahead of her relocation to Maine. Outside the office, she enjoys reading, running, hiking and trivia nights, and spending time with her Belgian Malinois, Walker.
