Steven W. Rand

Steven W. Rand is Vice President of Desmond, Rand & Guerard. He has practiced law in Maine for decades, building a practice in real estate, commercial lending, estate planning and business law that helped shape the firm DRG is today.

Over the course of his career, Steve has represented Maine businesses, lenders, developers, property owners and individuals in a broad range of matters, including acquisitions and sales, commercial financings, leases, workouts and estate planning. He also served for many years as an owner of the firm, helping build the client relationships and transactional practice that remain an important part of DRG today.

Steve now maintains a limited practice focused primarily on commercial lending, real estate and estate planning. He represents lenders and longtime clients in financing transactions, purchases, sales and other property matters, and assists individuals and families with estate planning, drawing on decades of experience with Maine real estate, commercial transactions and personal planning needs.
